Speaking of the coalition for carbon neutrality, the UN chief noted that the European Union, Britain, Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as more than 110 other countries, have pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. China has said it will do so by 2060. "Every country, city, financial institution and company should adopt plans to reach zero emissions. We should act now to get on the right track to achieve this goal, which means reducing global emissions by 45 percent by 2030 from 2010 levels," António Guterres stressed.
